Cloud Distribution launches ‘hyperserV’ - the Hyperconverged Appliance for SMEs powered by DataCore Software

Distributor seeks forward thinking channel partners to capitalise on opportunity to recommend affordable, enterprise class, Hyperconverged technology into their customer base.

Reading, UK:  3rd September 2015:Cloud Distribution Ltd, the security, networking and storage next generation value-added distributor, has announced the General Availability of their Hyperconverged Appliance solution, hyperserV.  Designed specifically for the SME market, hyperserV combines storage, compute, networking and virtualisation within its core and places enterprise technology directly into SME server rooms.

Tapping into the benefits of hyperconvergence has previously been cost prohibitive for smaller organisations, yet hyperserV is one of the first plug-and-play hyperconverged solutions, offering channel partners a huge opportunity to deliver new value for companies, organisations and departments, with a fully virtualised, enterprise class, easy to use and deploy, data centre solution.

Powered internally by DataCore Software’s Virtual SAN solution, this appliance comes with a highly attractive small business price tag and offers true value essentials, such as reducing server room footprint by up to 90%; directly decreasing support and energy costs and allowing resource constrained IT Pros to redirect their effort away from potentially cumbersome storage management into innovation and delivering IT as-a-service for their organisations.

Bruce Hockin, Director of Storage Solutions, Cloud Distribution commented. “Hyperconvergence shouldn’t be for the exclusive use of the enterprise and channel partners simply don’t want the pain of putting together an ‘out of the box’ solution themselves. By bringing hyperserV direct to the channel, we are empowering our partners to make Hyperconvergence accessible to the SME market and generate new revenue streams. We are now actively recruiting partners to embrace hyperserV, especially those who target education, local government, legal and not for profit organisations.”

Comprising market leading hypervisors, hyperserV is technically validated by DataCore as part of the ‘DataCore Ready’ Program, and it cements its high-availability, high-performance positioning with feature-rich capabilities like automated tiering of data; caching to increase application performance and thin provisioning of existing storage.

Brett Denly, Regional Director, DataCore Software UK commented. "We are thrilled to see that hyperserV is powered by DataCore's Virtual SAN Software, and have worked closely with Cloud Distribution to validate this appealing solution. There is an increasing appetite from SMEs for hyperconvergence in the UK, simply because of the ability to dramatically optimise storage environments without the overhead of SAN management."

hyperserV is available in four models with a choice of capacity points and hypervisors. They are shipping now and start with a recommended street price of £31,199 for the 8TB model and includes 3 years 24/7 support and next day onsite hardware engineer as standard.

Cloud Distribution Signs Netskope to Offer Cloud Access Security Solutions

VAD to enable channel partners to take advantage of the rapidly growing Cloud Access Security market opportunity

Reading, UK, 1st July 2015 Cloud Distribution, the security, networking and storage next-generation value added distributor (VAD) has today announced a distribution agreement with Netskope, the leader in safe cloud enablement, bringing channel partners a solution to address a mounting enterprise security concern.

The adoption of cloud services is at a tipping point with Forrester forecasting the market to be worth over $92billion in 2016, but around 90% of cloud services are not enterprise ready, leaving businesses vulnerable to sensitive data loss. The Netskope Active Platform™ addresses this enterprise security challenge by providing granular visibility and control of all cloud services being used in an organisation, ensuring safe cloud usage.

Cloud Distribution has been signed as Netskope’s new distribution partner to help grow its footprint in the UK by opening up additional markets and working with new partners. Cloud will provide marketing support with its unique Altitude Marketing Services to help partners quickly and easily go to market and create a sales pipeline and new revenue.

Cloud Distribution will also access new markets by recruiting cloud consultancy value added resellers (VARs).  Netskope is the only solution that provides real time granular visibility, security analytics and prevention of malicious activity and data loss for thousands of cloud services – including Box, Salesforce, Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 – enabling faster sales of cloud apps for these partners. Netskope and Cloud will also work together to attract security VARs and mobile security partners by demonstrating how Netskope addresses the current bring your own device (BYOD) challenge facing enterprises, where users could be leaking data from unsanctioned cloud apps.

“The usage of cloud services has exploded in the enterprise, but worryingly, the majority of these services are invisible to IT and pose a real threat to data protection. Netskope is a compelling and differentiated cloud offer and takes control of cloud usage,” said Adam Davison, Product and Marketing Director, Cloud Distribution. “This is a ballooning market opportunity and we will be working closely with partners to ensure they fully benefit from it. We’ll accelerate their go to market strategies with value add partner enablement services such as our new marketing portal, which enables partners to create a marketing campaign in under a minute leading to immediate lead generation and a rapid pipeline build.  We have already created a Cloud Risk Assessment campaign and partner branded mailers that are readily available to partners today.”

“Enterprises are becoming increasingly aware of the need for safe cloud app usage and market demand for our solutions only continues to grow,” said Jonathan Mepsted, Managing Director, Netskope UK. “Cloud Distribution complements our ambition to further expand and enhance our market presence in the UK. The commitment of their staff, efficiency and quality of work to launch our new partnership has been hugely impressive.”

Bloomberg says, "Cloud Distribution Launches Altitude, A Revolutionary Lead Generation Marketing Tool; Enables partners to build a marketing campaign in as little as 60 seconds"

Security, networking and storage next-generation value added distributor (VAD) Cloud Distribution is delighted to announce immediate and significant enhancements to its Cloud Confidential 'self-service' VAR portal with the introduction of its new Cloud Altitude Marketing Tool, designed to enable immediate lead generation and rapid pipeline build.

Partners can now access either pre-built or self-build vendor electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns and rapidly put together their own campaigns. In less than 60 seconds, they can create a fully branded and personalised mailer and landing page with their company logo. This is automatically tracked against vendor campaigns. Once live, prospects simply fill in a form and leads are captured via the portal and the partner is alerted.

Vanessa Cardwell, marketing manager of partner Network Utilities, comments: "It couldn't be simpler. Cloud Altitude enables access to relevant content to build relevant campaigns, literally in seconds."

During April 2015 the Cloud Confidential portal will be enhanced even further to include the capability for self-build content. The partner will be able to drag and drop vertically aligned content into a mailer, which they can edit and develop according to their requirements. Partners can access an extensive library of content to build campaigns which includes whitepapers, video links, datasheets and banners.

David Henderson, director of partner BlueFort Security comments: "I have worked with many distributors who use the 'value add' tag to describe what they do and it is a bit of a cliche. Cloud Altitude really is adding value, delivering exactly what we need. No one else in the channel provides this."

Keith Archer, sales director from A10 Networks comments: "This is what distributors should be doing but most don't. In fact, there is no other marketing tool on the market that has the capability to build a campaign this quickly."

Cloud Altitude also offers Managed Campaigns whereby partners can request marketing resource and support for lead generation activity, events, email campaigns, seminars, webinars or telemarketing activities. Adam Davison, Director at Cloud Distribution said: "Our new marketing tool is designed to encourage our partners to accelerate their lead generation activities by rapidly and easily creating campaigns. It is unique in that you can literally create a campaign from start to finish in just four clicks."

Paul Hennin, director of international marketing at Aerohive Networks comments: "Cloud's new marketing tool has enabled our partners to create smart mailers, bespoke landing pages and capture leads in record time, taking the burden off of our partners' internal teams."

Polly Denton, marketing manager from Prodec Networks comments: "Cloud Altitude has helped me build my pipeline, quickly and simply."

Stuart Small, managing director from IDNS comments: "Cloud Altitude makes it really easy for us to go to market with new products."

Adam Davison concludes: "Our marketing tool is designed to encourage our partners to get even more involved with Cloud Distribution and our vendors, ensuring that we're delivering real value-add by accelerating go to market strategies."
